Chieh Huang

Co-founder and CEO

Chieh Huang is cofounder and CEO of Boxed.com, a company that's disrupting the wholesale shopping club experience. He was previously the Director of Zynga Mobile NY and CEO of Astro Ape (acquired by Zynga). Originally a corporate attorney at Proskauer, Chieh earned his J.D. from Fordham University and has a Bachelor's of Economics from The Johns Hopkins University. He’s been named to "Bloomberg 50," Bloomberg Businessweek's 50 people to watch in 2018, to National Retail Federation's list of "People Shaping Retail's Future," as one of Crain's "40 Under 40" and Goldman Sachs's list of "100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs." In addition, Entrepreneur magazine included Chieh on their list of "The 50 Most Daring Entrepreneurs."

Christina Sass

Co-founder & Chair

Christina Sass is the Co-Founder and President of Andela or, as CNN has called it, "The startup that's harder to get into than Harvard". Andela is a global company specializing in engineering-as-a-service. We build distributed engineering teams with Africa's top software developers.
Christina has built education and employment programs in China, Gaza and the West Bank, Kenya, and Nigeria. Prior to co-founding Andela, she directed the Program department of the Clinton Global Initiative and advised the President and CEO of The MasterCard Foundation, a $9B global foundation working to advance education and financial inclusion for youth in Africa.
Christina serves on the Advisory Council of the NYU Stern Center for Business and Human Rights and on the board of the non-profit Global Give Back Circle. She also serves as education topic expert for the Clinton Global Initiative University annual meeting. Christina’s work has been mentioned by Forbes, CNN, The New Yorker, NBC, and WIRED. She has a BA in Ancient Philosophy from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs) and a MA in International Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School from Tufts University.

Magnus Hult

Magnus was one of the first employees at Spotify. He later went on to co-found Wrapp (as VP Engineering) and Vint (CTO).

Andrew Mullinger

As a founder, Andrew has grown Funding Circle from an idea into the largest and fastest growing small business loan marketplace in the world. Andrew helped build out and lead the company’s operations before focusing on risk management. He was responsible for ensuring the performance of the first $1.5bn of loans originated globally has great risk adjusted returns for investors before handing over the reins to Jerome, our Global CRO.

Before founding Funding Circle, Andrew worked at Nomura and Citigroup specializing in regulatory and risk management. He also spent time at Ernst & Young as a consultant where he advised financial institutions, government and regulators on risk management and regulation, including a major UK bank on its SME credit models. Andrew holds a degree in Mathematics from Manchester University.

Al Goldstein

Al is the co-founder and CEO of Avant, one of the fastest growing national online providers of consumer loans. By utilizing advanced algorithms and machine-learning capabilities, AvantCredit offers a unique and highly customized approach to the personal loan process.

Prior to AvantCredit, Al co-founded Pangea Properties, where he serves as the Exec Chairman of the Board. Al is also an active member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and America Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and spends time mentoring young entrepreneurs. He received a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a Mathematics Minor from the University of Illinois where he graduated with High Honors and is a CFA charter holder.

Mike Nolet

Mike founded LiveBetter to help others incorporate well-being and mindfulness activities into their daily lives, just as he tries to do in his own life. He does a bit of everything at LiveBetter. Some days he writes code, other days he’s fundraising. Prior to LiveBetter, Mike was the co-founder and CTO at AppNexus, which was acquired by AT&T in 2018.

Leah Audrey Templestein

Leah is Head of Operations at Monzo, a UK-based mobile bank, and has been at Monzo since its conception in 2015.

Prior to that, she was a consultant for Bain & Company, and an analyst for Starling Bank.

Leah has a Masters in Mathematics from Oxford University.

Jonas Templestein

Jonas is the cofounder and CTO of Monzo bank. He spends a lot of his weekends strolling through Broadway Market and eating delicious food. He also enjoys popular geeky pastimes like watching movies and playing board games.

Andrew Fisher

Andrew joined Shazam in 2005 as Chief Executive Officer before becoming Executive Chairman in 2013. Andrew is also a Non Executive Director of Marks and Spencer plc and a Non Executive Director of MoneySupermarket Group plc.

Over the past 20 years, Andrew has led the successful growth of a number of technology focused enterprises. He founded and was Managing Director of TDLI.com which was acquired by InfoSpace Inc and previously participated in a management buyout of Thomson Directories.

Andrew was awarded an O.B.E. for services to the UK digital economy in 2016.

Timo Boldt

Timo is the co-founder and CEO of Gousto, which he started in 2012 as an easier way for families to cook and share good food together.A few years – and a LOT of recipe boxes – later, and it's pretty clear that he was onto something... Timo's interests include gender equality, sustainability, technology and food (of course!).

Jose Marin

Investor

Jose is a serial entrepreneur and global investor. He co-founded Deremate.com, project builder IG Expansion, and Serendipity Investments that has invested in more than 200 companies. He loves flying and extreme sports, plays the piano and tennis, and speaks 5 languages.
