"I am extremely grateful to the Founders Pledge for making it so incredibly seamless to pay it forward as a business founder. I have received a huge amount of help over the past two years, and this goes a small way to repay some that where most needed. The collective good that can be achieved is colossal!"
Physicist - Bicyclist - Designer - Entrepreneur. Emily began reading Physics at Oxford University, but left to study Product Design in Brighton and Milan before an entrepreneurial scholarship in America. At university Emily created a radical innovation to save cyclists' lives and started Blaze, to make it a reality. The company is only 2 years old, but after running one of the first successful Kickstarter campaigns in the UK, it has gone on to raise over £1.5M investment from the likes of Index Ventures, Pembroke VCT and the Branson Family. Their flagship product, the Laserlight, is shipping to 51 countries around the world and is the first in a range of products for urban cyclists. Blaze recently secured a contract with Transport for London to trial its Laserlights on 200 Santander Cycles with a view to extending to the entire fleet.
