Paul has been working at the forefront of fintech for nearly 20 years. Born on a piece of tin in the jungle of Papua New Guinea, he grew up there before attending university in Australia and the UK. He is the Co-founder & CEO of Previse, the first algorithm-driven payment platform, and is on a mission to ensure that every supplier in the world can be paid instantly, at the fairest rate.
Paul is passionate about innovation. Paul was global co-head of Goldman Sachs' Principal Strategic Investments team, the corporate venturing unit that focuses on market structure-related strategy and investment opportunities. Paul is a serial entrepreneur and was part of the founding team of Volbroker.com in 1999 and recently co-founded Doctoring, the professional network for doctors. After Goldman, Paul was the CEO of Green Key Technologies, the voice-as-a-service collaboration platform for the financial markets focussed on unlocking the data in voice. Paul led the start-up from launch of its first commercial product to widespread engagement at senior levels across the industry with strategic deals with key IDBs and banks and positioned the company to be the global industry standard.
Paul earned an MBA from the London Business School in 2007, an LLM from the London School of Economics in 1999 and an LLB and BComm from the University of Queensland in 1995 and 1992, respectively. He represented Australia in Modern Pentathlon at world championship level and remains involved in the Olympic movement. Paul has twice recently been the winner of a noted ultra-endurance Quadrathlon race in the Highlands of Scotland.
He and his wife, Emily, have two children and live in Primrose Hill, London.
