I have founded a company whose main values are freedom of movement and sustainability, these same values have motivated me to be part of Founders Pledge. At Cooltra, we're a group of 400 people currently, who strive daily to improve the quality of the air we breathe, while providing more accessible mobility to society. I think it is very important to allocate part of our profits to projects that collaborate with these causes. Every little effort is needed to procure a better planet for future generations.
Timo Buetefisch, born in Germany, is an ex-consultant and MBA from IESE, who has been living in Barcelona for more than 19 years.
The idea to found Cooltra started in 2006 when Timo's scooter broke down in Barcelona and had to leave it in the workshop for several weeks. He realized then that there were no short-term motorcycle rental alternatives in the city. Cooltra was born out of its own need, an ambitious project that, after 15 years of hard work, has managed to become the European leader in sustainable mobility on two wheels. The company is currently present in 6 European countries, has a workforce of 400 employees and has a fleet of 17,000 vehicles, of which 64% are electric motorcycles that work by emitting a zero footprint.
