If wealth is worry-less sleeping, clear conscience, reciprocal gratitude, absence of envy, good appetite, muscle strength, frequent laughs, no meals alone, family time, some physical labor/hobby, good bowel movements, periodic surprises, then it is largely subtractive. We all have to ask ourselves what role we play in the lives of others — in the lives of loved ones, in the lives of our community and in the life of our world. I know my own answer for this. It echoes the answer of those before me, who helped to get me where I am.
