Alexander Bruells is Co-Founder of Builders Union, a London-based independent asset manager focussed on global public equities in the consumer sector.

Prior to co-founding Builders Union, Alex was an investor in private equity and long/short equity.

Most recently, Alex led the Financial Services sector team within the EMEA private equity platform of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR).

He started his career with Goldman Sachs in their Principal Investment Area (PIA). He subsequently joined Goldman Sachs Investment Partners (GSIP), a fundamental long/short equity fund spun out of the Goldman Sachs Principal Strategies (GSPS) group.

Alex graduated from WHU Koblenz (Germany) and EM Lyon (France).
